1. To enable students to learn new vocabularies.
2. To enable students to understand the passage and retell it.
Aims on the abilities
1. To improve the Ss’ ability of listening and speaking.
2. To encourage the Ss to communicate with each other actively.
3. To develop students’ good reading habits and improve their English reading speed and quality.

1. Arouse the students’ interest in learning English
2. Help the students learn to cooperate with their classmates and encourage the students to speak more English in class
3. Encourage them to develop positive attitudes towards making friends.

Step 3 Reading
