Chinese tech companies have sparked controversy on social media after choosing to motivate their male employees by hiring 'programming cheerleaders'.
中國的科技公司雇傭“程序員鼓勵(lì)師”來激勵(lì)男性員工，此舉在社交媒體上引發(fā)了爭(zhēng)議。
The 'pretty, talented' girls are hired to 'create a fun work environment' for employees of internet companies across the country, according to a social media website in China.
根據(jù)中國一家媒體網(wǎng)站的報(bào)道，中國國內(nèi)的`互聯(lián)網(wǎng)公司請(qǐng)來“‘智慧與美貌并存的'女孩，旨在給員工‘創(chuàng)造一個(gè)愉悅的工作環(huán)境'”。
'Their job includes buying programmers breakfast, chitchatting and playing ping-pong with them,' the post said.
報(bào)道稱：“她們的工作包括為程序員買早餐，陪他們聊天、打乒乓球。”
An HR manager of one of the companies that apparently hired three of the 'cheerleaders' told that their programmers were 'mostly male and terrible at socialising.'
一家已雇傭三名女性程序員鼓勵(lì)師的公司中，人力資源部經(jīng)理透露，公司里的程序員“男性偏多，社交能力很差。”
'The presence of these girls have greatly improved their job efficiency and motivation,' the HR manager said.
這名經(jīng)理還表示：“這些女鼓勵(lì)師激勵(lì)他們工作，大大提高了工作效率。”
The response on social media to the pictures has been less positive.
社交媒體對(duì)此卻不怎么樂觀。
'Or you know, hire some women who code. Oh wait, that would be too intimidating for the man-children there, right?' One Facebook user wrote.
一名臉書用戶寫道：“哎呀，雇些女性編程員嘛。誒，等等，這豈不是會(huì)嚇到那里的男娃娃們呢?”
'How about the female coders? Do they get some men?' Another said.
還有人說：“女程序員咋辦?她們有配備男鼓勵(lì)師嗎?”
