英語面試之應聘秘書

　　導讀：

　　秘書的應聘和其它職業不同，秘書職業需要你有專業技能，與人打交道靈活大方又不失莊重禮貌。如果你在初次見面時，給對方以良好的印象，得體地展示自己的才能，那你成功的可能性就大一些。

　　秘書一職主要涉及到的職責是打字、速記以及熟練掌握辦公設備，所以對各種辦公設備的英文表達要正確掌握。主要有：打印機（printer）、復印機（duplicating machine）、傳真機（fax machine）、計算機（computer）、幻燈機（epidiascope）。秘書工作比較繁雜瑣碎，所以要把事情做得有條不紊和有效率，在面試中要特別強調自己很有耐心（patient）、細心（careful）、靈活性（flexible）。做秘書，頭腦要清，手腳要勤；點子要精，辦法要靈；胸懷要寬，待業要誠；辦事要公，言行要慎；形象要新，近乎完美。

　　一、BASIC EXPRESSIONS 基本句型表達

　　I started the job as a junior secretary.

　　剛開始這份工作時，我是初級秘書。

　　I thrive on challenge and work well in high-stress environments.

　　我能應付挑戰，而且在高壓力的環境中也能工作非常出色。

　　What specific duties would I perform (/ be responsible for / be assigned) if I am hired?

　　如果我被錄用了，我的具體職責是什么？

　　I really need more information about the job before we start to discuss salary.

　　在討論薪水前，我需要更多了解這份工作。

　　Maybe you could tell me what is budgeted (/ prearranged / allocated) for the position.

　　或許你可以告訴我這個職位的預算報酬是多少。

　　I: Tell me about yourself and your past experience.

　　I: 說說你自己和你過去的經歷吧。

　　A: I have worked as an executive secretary for 5 years, first for trading companies, and now I am working for a trust company. I interact well with peers, clients, administrators and bosses. I thrive on challenge and work well in high-stress environments.

　　A: 我已經做執行秘書五年了，開始是為一家貿易公司工作，現在是一家信托公司。我和同事、客戶、行政管理員以及老板相處得非常好。我能應付挑戰，而且在高壓力環境中也能工作很出色。

　　I: How are your typing and shorthand skills?

　　I: 你的打字和速記能力如何？

　　A: I can type 100 Chinese words a minute and take dictation in English at 150 words a minute.

　　A: 我能一分鐘打100個漢字，英語速記一分鐘可達150個。

　　I: Can you operate computers skillfully?

　　I: 你能熟練操作計算機嗎？

　　A: Yes, I can. I have received some special training in computers. Besides I am good at operating common office machines, such as fax machines and duplicating machines.

　　A: 沒問題，我接受過計算機方面的特殊培訓，而且我還能熟練操作一般的辦公設備，比如傳真機和復印機。

　　I: Sometimes we are very busy and need to work overtime. How do you feel about that?

　　I: 有時候我們工作很忙，需要加班，你覺得如何？

　　A: That’s all right. But could you tell me how often and how many hours I should work overtime?

　　A: 沒關系，你能告訴我加班的頻率和時間長度嗎？

　　I: It just depends. If we have important visiting delegations, you have to stay with us. It’s not unusual.

　　I: 這得看情況。如果我們有重要的訪問代表團，你必須留在我們身邊，這種情況很正常。

　　A: Mr. Smith, I’d like to ask you a question.

　　A: 史密斯先生，我想問你一個問題。

　　I: OK, please.

　　I: 好的，請問吧。

　　A: What specific duties would I perform if I am hired?

　　A: 如果我被錄用，我的具體職責是什么？

　　I: Nothing different from a secretary’s common responsibilities. However, you know, our company is an international trade-oriented company, can you handle English papers and write English correspondence?

　　I: 和普通的秘書沒什么區別，但我們公司是面向國際貿易的，你能處理英文文件和寫英文信件嗎？

　　A: Yes. I specialized in English secretary studies at college and that’s one of the main parts of my present job.

　　A: 可以，我大學時專門學過英語文秘的課程，而且這也是我目前工作中的主要部分之一。

　　I: What are your salary expectations?

　　I: 你期望多少薪水？

　　A: I really need more information about the job before we start to discuss salary. Maybe you could tell me what is budgeted for the position.

　　A: 在討論薪水前，我需要更多了解這份工作，或者你可以告訴我這個職位的預算報酬是多少。

　　I: The starting monthly salary would be ￥2,000, with rises after the half year according to your competence.

　　I: 起薪是每月2000元，半年后會根據你的表現增加薪水。

　　A: I think it’s acceptable and I really like the job. And when can I know the decision?

　　A: 我覺得可以接受，我真的喜歡這份工作。我什么時候能得知結果呢？

　　I: We’ll inform you of our final decision by early July. Do you have any other questions?

　　I: 我們會在7月初通知你我們的最終決定。你還有別的問題嗎？

　　A: No. Thank you for the time.

　　A: 沒有了，謝謝你的寶貴時間。
